Pickled Jalapeno Chili Peppers

August 15, 2022

So quick and easy to make. You can pickle your favorite chili pepper to have around as an addition to many of your favorite foods. In this example, I use jalapenos. But feel free to use serranos, banana, or whatever you fancy!

Note: If you allow the pickling liquid to cool, the chili peppers will retain more color. However, if you like the canned style, go ahead and add the boiling liquid.

Step 1:

  • 1 1/4 cups White Vinegar

  • 1 1/4 cup Water

  • 1 TB Salt

  • 1 TB Honey or Sugar (add more if you like)

In a small saucepan, bring the ingredients to a boil. Turn off when thoroughly mixed. Based on the note above, allow to cool or proceed when hot.

Step 2:

  • 3 Large Garlic Cloves, thinly sliced.

  • Enough Sliced Peppers to Fill Most of Your Jar (I used a 1 liter jar)

Fill jar with garlic and peppers (feel free to add onions or anything else you desire)

Pour cooled/uncooled pickling liquid (see note above) until it covers the solid ingredients. Store in a fridge for a few days and then enjoy!
